Hi! My name is Mrs. Julie Clapp. Welcome to the Third Grade at Eastwood School in New Castle, Indiana. I have taught second and third grade. I am a Ball State University graduate. I have completed my Master's Degree from Olivet University.
My mission as a teacher is to provide a safe climate which will enable every student to reach his or her fullest potential. I will provide opportunities for students to become lifelong learners and to achieve one's personal best. I will be an enthusiastic, caring, and respectful teacher. I will give my students words of encouragement and show interest in their work. I want each student to have a self-esteem that will give them the self-belief that they can accomplish anything.
The students will interact and do hands-on experiences to enrich their learning. We practice our Life Skills and Lifelong Guidelines daily to encourage a safe, comfortable, and healthy environment. This web page will help you understand third grade expectations for academics and behavior.
